The Student Work Department and the General Office of the Residential Colleges of Sias University held an opening ceremony for the "QingCloud" training course for new educational tutors on the 14th of September. Sias Vice President, Xu Shengdao, the Deputy Head of the Student Work Department and Executive Vice President of the General Office of the Residential Colleges, Bai Meng, the Dean of Siqi Residential College, He Nanfeng, and the Deputy Party Secretary of Siqi Residential College, Yang Yahan, attended the ceremony. Members of the Student Work Department and all the new educators were present at the ceremony as well. The Assistant to the Executive Vice President of the General Office of the Residential Colleges, Chen Xiaolei, presided over the ceremony.

In his speech, Xu Shengdao said that Sias had prioritized the creation of teams of educational tutors aided by evaluation and subsidies for excess workloads. He said that new educational tutors should be invested in student management to guide students with forming good values, a mature outlook, and the correct academic focus for a successful career.

Bai Meng spoke about the educational model of the residential colleges and the work of students. She spoke about her experiences in counseling and competence and put forward professional development requirements for the new educational tutors.

Chen Xiaolei announced the official start of the "QingCloud" training course. The Director of the Mental Health Education & Counseling Center, Liang Lina, and the Student Director of Zhixing Residential College, Wang Kangkang, provided professional training to new educators concerning students' psychological problems and how to deal with students' emergencies.

The training will last for two days and involves theme discussions, writing experiences, and an examination. The functional departments of the Student Work Department will focus on the theoretical level and professional ability of new educational tutors based on students' education, student aid management, student files, and daily management.
