2021 New Employees Training

Sias University held a training conference for new employees for the autumn semester of the 2021/22 academic year on the 26th of September. The Founder, and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Shawn Chen, and Vice President, and Chairman of the Trade Union, Wu Hua, attended the training. Other leaders present were the Director of the Human Resources Department, Sun Minghao; the Deputy Director of the Teaching Development Center, Shan Guoli; the Vice Chairman of the Trade Union, and Deputy Director of the Security Office, Zhang Ru; the Dean of the School of Law, Wang Longtian; the Dean of Mingli Residential College, Qin Shuguang; and the General Manager of the Logistics Department, Liu Qingwu. Sun Minghao and Shan Guoli presided over the event.

At the training, all the new employees watched the official Sias University promotional video and the 2021 Summer Training Conference video. Sun Minghao introduced the university and its training arrangements, while some leaders shared from their experiences of working at Sias.

Dr. Chen delivered a speech on training mobilization. He welcomed the new employees on behalf of the university. He then spoke about the history, educational philosophy, university culture, and student-centered concept of Sias, and combined each of these with practical cases, encouraging the new employees to assimilate into the educational model of Sias. He said that the future of Sias and the achievement of its development goals depended on a focus on education, innovative thinking, the pursuit of excellence, and the shouldering of responsibilities. He said that he hoped that everyone would find a sense of belonging at Sias and enjoy their work.

During the training, Liu Jianxiu, from the Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, presented a report titled, "Teaching and Educating People, and Mission Responsibility". Chen Yinan from Sias' School of Business, and Cui Zhenti from the School of Nursing, presented thematic reports on teaching methods and skills. Gao Sheng from the School of Education spoke about personal scientific research and academic development. Wang Bingju from the Information Construction and Management Office presented a report on office software applications and information security.

Zhang Ru spoke about the management requirements and rights protection appeal methods of the various departments and faculty of Sias. Shan Guoli spoke about problem-oriented teaching methods. Wu Lijuan, from the Human Resources Department, gave an introduction to the personnel-related systems and regulation, and Zhu Changcheng and Xu Zhengwang from the Academic Affairs & Scientific Research Office introduced the teaching management and requirements, and scientific research work and management, respectively. Wang Yali from the Financial Assets Department spoke about the workflow of financial budgets and reimbursements. The forum, 'Sias in My Heart', was led by Liu Hui from the School of Law, Tian Guisheng from the School of Business, Zou Yan from the School of Foreign Languages, Leng Yan from Zhiyuan Residential College, and Wu Fei from the Human Resources Department.

Wu Hua delivered the closing speech. He said that those present should think about their relationship with Sias from certain perspectives: serving teachers, educating students, understanding the university, integrating into the university culture, and growing with Sias. He encouraged the new employees to work towards mutual progress with the university.

Every year, Sias organizes training activities for new employees which aim to help them understand and integrate into the student-centered culture of the university while continuing on a path of progress and development.
