Sias University organized and held an employment and entrepreneurship business training in the Administration Building on the 28th of September. The training was held to improve the professional ability of the employment and entrepreneurship team and the employability of graduates. Vice President, Zheng Min, attended the training, as did relevant leaders of the Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, residential colleges, and academic schools. Educational tutors of the 2022 graduating class also attended the training. The Director of the Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, Luo Hongqun, hosted the event.
Zheng Min delivered a speech which she began by speaking about the difficult employment situation faced by university graduates. She presented a detailed analysis of the employment situation and the employability of university graduates in the past three years. She then put forward suggestions for the existing problems. She said that employment issues are related to people's livelihood, social stability, and the development of the university. She encouraged all staff to work towards a high-quality employment rate among graduates.
Combing the existing problems of 2021 graduates and the current difficulties of university graduate employment, Luo Hongqun analyzed and judged 14 aspects of the 2022 graduates' employment objectives, employment attitude, job demands, salary level, and employment services through data statistics from questionnaires.
The Director of the Zhixing Residential College's Employment Office, Wang Kangkang, and Zhiyuan Residential College's Employment Office, Gong Yongqiang, shared the employment experiences of the two residential colleges respectively. The Deputy Director of Student Affairs at Siqi Residential COllege, Jin Chaonan, and Tutor at Huanyu Residential College, Kong Wenxin, shared their opinions on the employment of graduates.
The staff of the Employment & Entrepreneurship Department gave brief training to the educational tutors of the 2022 graduating class. Guo Jian gave a detailed description of the provincial employment system. Yin Changtao spoke about the graduates' difficulties concerning job-hunting, entrepreneurship subsidies, innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, and skills training. Wu Dongdong shared his experience of recruiting university students and about job fairs. Qiu Shanshan explained the employment procedures in detail, registration card handling, file collection, and mail handling.
In her summary, Luo Hongqun said that employment and entrepreneurship staff should also focus on their political positions, grasp the evolving situation of employment and entrepreneurship, improve the employment and entrepreneurship education for students, and guide students with realistic concepts of employment and career selection. All this would raise the quality of graduate employability at Sias.
