The Awarding Ceremony of the Training Base for Basketball Coaches and Referees of the Henan Basketball Association was held at Sias University on the 13th of October. The Henan Basketball Association was represented by its Party Secretary and Secretary-General, Dong Shengli, and Deputy Secretary-General and Director of the Office, Zhao Pengwei. Leaders of Sias' School of Physical Education were present, including the Dean, He Zuxin, Party Secretary, Fang Huadong, and Executive Vice President, Ma Ruihua.
On behalf of Sias, He Zuxin welcomed the delegation from the Henan Basketball Association and introduced them to Sias' development, teaching structure, sporting venues, academic course creation, and achievements in the field of physical education. He said that in recent years, Sias had continuously increased its support for basketball projects and had improved its basketball training, teaching, and competitiveness. He said that Sias would cooperate closely with the Henan Basketball Association to contribute to the growth and improvement of basketball in the province.
Dong Shengli spoke about the establishment of a training base of the Henan Basketball Association, the organizational structure, and the development of events. He said that he hoped that in the future the two sides would cooperate on the development idea of an "integration of sports and education", and that Sias and the Henan Basketball Association should work closely together to nurture high-quality basketball talent and a training platform for the development of basketball in the Central Plains of China.
Following this, Sias University and the Henan Basketball Association signed a cooperation agreement. Sias' School of Physical Education was awarded the "Basketball Coach Training Base of the Henan Basketball Association" by Dong Shengli, and the "Basketball Referee Training Base of the Henan Basketball Association" by Zhao Pengwei.
