Sias University's Information Construction and Management Office and the Xinzheng Public Security Bureau held a special lecture on the prevention of telecommunications fraud during the 2021 Cyber Security Week. The lecture addressed a wide range of issues concerning fraud, cyber security, and telecommunications fraud on campus. The Deputy Director of the Xinzheng Public Security Bureau, Guo Tiemin, the Deputy Director of the Anti-Telecom Fraud Center, Zhang Chunzi, and Sias Vice President, Xu Shengdao, attended the lecture. Heads of the Security Office, Academic Affairs Office, and other concerned departments were present, as were IT specialists from various departments, teachers, and some freshmen.

In his speech, Xu Shengdao said that there are many kinds of online fraud and some students would be vulnerable to these because of their lack of life experience. He said that the heads of several departments at Sias should improve the safety awareness among teachers and students and prevent the spread of online fraud, especially telecom fraud.

Guo Tiemin presented a report on cyber fraud cases in Xinzheng City through 2021. In combination with typical fraudulent activities concerning "black and gray products", he described the habits and methods of fraudsters and reminded students to always be vigilant, not easily trust information online, and establish a rational concept of consumption.

In his lecture, Zhang Chunzi, spoke about real cases, analyzed the methods of telecom and online fraudsters, and gave a detailed explanation of how to prevent telecom and online fraud. He summarized his lecture into 7 key points of fraud prevention, which included not answering strange calls, not opening strange links, not believing information with regard to winning prizes or lotteries, and not being greedy online.

The Deputy Director of the Sias Security Office, Zhang Ru, concluded the event by reminding all teachers and students to be aware of fraud prevention, improve their identification of fraud, be careful with their money, and not get involved in any illegal activities of internet or telecom fraud.
