Sias University carried out a major campus safety inspection from October 27 to 29. The inspection was held to ensure the safety and stability of the campus according to the regulations published by the Henan Communist Party Committee's University Working Committee and the Henan Department of Education.
The university safety inspection was divided into three groups led by university leaders with the participation of staff members and members of the Safety and Stability Leading Group, the Communist Party Committee Office, and the Administration Office. The groups go to areas such as the teaching and experimental sites, sports venues, restaurants and cafeterias, commercial locations and stores, student dormitories, and construction sites. They inspect Covid-19 prevention and control across the campus, fire safety, food safety, construction safety, traffic safety, and existing potential safety hazards, following which, they put forward options and recommendations for the rectification of any issues. The Sias Safety and Stability Leading Group created a working account of the inspection and published it at the university, informing relevant departments and staff of the issues that needed to be addressed.
The Sias leadership said that responsibilities needed to be clarified and the Covid-19 prevention and control work to be refined. They said that existing problems needed to be rectified promptly for the maintenance of a good learning, working, and living environment for the teachers and students. They also said that those involved should raise awareness, increase publicity and education, improve safety awareness, delegate responsibilities, and form a unified task force to ensure the safety and stability of the Sias campus.
