Following a provincial meeting on Covid-19 prevention and control in the autumn and winter, Sias University held a special meeting on Covid-19 prevention and control on November 2. The meeting was held to implement the directives of the Henan Communist Party Committee, the Henan government, and the Henan Department of Education concerning the mobilization and deployment of measures for the prevention and control of Covid-19 at Sias University in the autumn and winter of 2021.

The Sias leadership was present at the meeting, including Sias Party Secretary and Leader of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Ma Jiansheng; Acting President, and Leader of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Zhao Yuxin; Sias Vice President, and Executive Deputy Leader of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Zheng Min; Deputy Party Secretary, and Deputy Leader of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Li Huafeng; Vice President, and Deputy Leader of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Xu Shengdao; and Vice President, Chairman of the Trade Union, and Deputy Leader of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Wu Hua.

At the meeting, it was pointed out that Covid-19 was still running rampant across the world, and with the rise of the number of regional outbreaks combined with winter conditions that are favorable to the spread of the virus, the work towards prevention and control was increasingly difficult and important. All special working groups were instructed to implement the prevention and control measures and coordinate with each other to ensure the safety and stability of the campus.

The meeting stressed the need for working groups to improve their sense of responsibility, overcome any unforeseen circumstances, and remain vigilant. It was announced that the entry and exit of people to and from the campus should be strict. The leaders also said that education and information concerning the prevention and control of Covid-19 should be given to all students and teachers for the improvement of their awareness.
