On November 4, Sias University held the Opening Ceremony of the 2021 1+1 MBA and 2022 Spring Enrollment Kick-Off at the School of Foreign Languages building. The Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, and Vice President, Xu Shengdao, attended the ceremony. The heads of the School of Business, Huanyu Residential College, Kansas International School (KIS), and the Postgraduate Entrance Examination Special Class, were also present. The Director of the Office of International Affairs (OIA), Yue Junliang, presided over the ceremony.

Dr. Chen spoke to the students present and asked them about their studies and life during the Covid-19 pandemic. He spoke to them about the importance of learning and encouraged them to participate in Sias' East-meets-West educational model to grow into international talents with a high level of fluency in English, cutting-edge knowledge and skills, and a broad vision.

Four partner universities of Sias - California Baptist University (CBU), USA; Fort Hays State University (FHSU), USA; Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Germany; and Rennes School of Business, France - sent video messages of encouragement to the students joining the MBA program. Foreign Faculty Representative, Ahneka Valdois, shared learning methods with the students present, and Student Representative, Zhang Xiangyao, encouraged the students to be innovative, work hard, and aim high.
