On November 5, following a provincial video conference on Covid-19 prevention and control in the autumn, Sias University held a special meeting on Covid-19 prevention and control in the autumn semester to reorganize and adapt the work carried out at the university according to the directives from the Henan (provincial) Department of Education.

The Sias leadership was present at the meeting, including Sias Party Secretary and Leader of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Ma Jiansheng; Acting President, and Leader of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Zhao Yuxin; Sias Vice President, and Executive Deputy Leader of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Zheng Min; Deputy Party Secretary, and Deputy Leader of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Li Huafeng; and Vice President, and Deputy Leader of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Xu Shengdao. All the heads of the special working groups for Covid-19 prevention and control attended the meeting as well.

The meeting elaborated on the points made at the provincial video conference on Covid-19 prevention and control in the Henan education system during the autumn and winter. Leaders pointed out that the current situation was complex and that students needed to be informed about legal and illegal entries and exits, to and from the campus.

At the meeting, the need for ideological awareness, vigilance, and preparedness was emphasized. A three-level duty system was to be implemented, and all regulations were to be followed strictly. Campus control, campus access, and grid management were to be strengthened, and the disinfection of areas as well as high standards of cleanliness in the cafeterias was to be maintained for the safety of students and teachers. For all these purposes, the education and guidance for safety, protection, and awareness were to be highlighted.
