Sias University held a rally for the qualification of undergraduate teaching evaluation on December 8. The Founder, and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Shawn Chen, Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Acting President, Zhao Yuxin, Deputy Party Secretary, and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Li Huafeng, Vice President, Xu Shengdao, Vice President, and Chairman of the Trade Union, Wu Hua, and Vice President, Zheng Min, attended the rally.

In his speech, Zhao Yuxin pointed out that meeting the qualifications for the evaluation of undergraduate teaching was not only a test of the level of undergraduate teaching but was also an opportunity to raise the quality of teaching at Sias. He said that all departments should clarify their direction with an accurate understanding of the evaluation indicators. He said that a three-level responsibility system was necessary to consolidate the organizational guarantee of evaluation and construction. He also said that strong organizational leadership was required to guide the overall evaluation, and this should be strengthened with effective incentive measures. He concluded by saying that all teachers, students, and staff of the university should work together so that the university passes all the qualification assessments of undergraduate teaching.

Wu Huaxuan read out the notice of Sias University [2021 (No.24)] concerning the establishment of undergraduate teaching qualification assessment assistants at academic schools.

Dr. Shawn Chen then delivered a mobilization speech. He pointed out that the university plans to apply for the evaluation qualification of undergraduate teaching at the Ministry of Education in 2023. He said that all the staff at Sias should be aware of the weight of the task at hand and the limited time to complete it. He stressed the complexity of the work and the need for all departments to mobilize at all levels to complete their tasks. He said that, according to the implementation of plans for evaluation, the university should do well concerning teaching qualification evaluation and teaching standardization through work plans according to the requirements. The rectification of evaluation requirements should be done in a standardized manner. He also said that a special reward system should be formulated to reward outstanding employees and encourage everyone to participate in the evaluation work.

The heads of all affiliated departments at the university signed letters of responsibility for the objectives. The Dean of the School of Electronics & Information Engineering, Shen Yang, the Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Law and Siqi Residential College, Yang Yahan, and the Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs & Scientific Research Office, Chen Jing, delivered speeches as well.

In closing, Ma Jiansheng led all the staff and leaders present in a solemn oath for the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation work for the next 2 years.
