Sias University held a Counseling Report Meeting on "Topic Selection Skills and Essentials of National Social Science Fund Projects" on December 22. The Executive Dean of the Institute of Grain Industry Economics at the Henan University of Technology, Li Tongshan, was invited to deliver a special lecture. Over 130 teachers, including Phds, heads of research institutions, provincial and ministerial project hosts, heads of departments and academic schools, and directors of teaching and research offices, participated in the event. Sias Acting President, Zhao Yuxin, presided over the meeting.

Combining his own successful experience with applying for a national social science fund project, and with the latest trends of academic development in China and abroad, Li Tongshan summarized project topic selection, topic selection backgrounds, research significance, research status, content, research methods, technical routes, and research focus. Starting with the standard paradigm of application writing, he explained the key points of applying from 6 aspects while also including the difficulties, how to write a literature review, and the innovation of national social science topics.
