After watching the video conference on Covid-19 prevention and control in the educational system of the province of Henan, Sias University immediately held a special meeting on Covid-19 prevention and control to arrange for and deploy specific measures and directives.

Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, who is also the leader of the university's Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, was at the meeting along with Acting President, Zhao Yuxin, Vice President, and Executive Deputy Leader of the university's Covid-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group, Zheng Min, Deputy Party Secretary, and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Li Huafeng, and Vice President, and Chairman of the Trade Union, Wu Hua. Leaders of all the special working groups for Covid-19 prevention and control attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the leaders discussed various points from the provincial video conference and the directives from the Henan Department of Education. They focused on the seriousness and complexity of prevention and control and the safety of teachers and students on campus. Each working group presented specific work arrangements concerning Covid-19 prevention and control.

It was emphasized that all special working groups should grasp the seriousness and complexity of the current situation with the Covid-19 Omicron variant. Among the various directives and important points discussed were the closure of the campus, the monitoring of students and teachers on campus, the security at campus entry points, tracking the health status of students and teachers, and the plans for opening the university in time for the Spring Semester.
