Sias University leaders led a safety inspection on January 5 and 12 for the campus safety management during the winter vacation. The safety inspection also involved the heads of the Administration Office, Academic Affairs Office, Supervision and Audit Office, Logistics & Infrastructure Department, and the Security Office. Personnel from the Logistics & Infrastructure Department had carried out campus-wide safety inspections before the start of the winter vacation.
According to the directives from the Henan Department of Education concerning fire prevention and safety during the winter and spring, comprehensive inspections were carried out at Sias' Administration Building, the campus cafeterias, warehouses, power distribution room, student dormitories, the library, and other places. The leaders inquired about the power consumption, fire prevention, and Covid-19 prevention and control measures, through on-site safety inspections. Fire safety in dormitories and the maintenance of fire-fighting equipment were also inspected.
The university leaders stressed that during the winter vacation, all departments should focus on campus safety and carry out inspections and educational activities for their personnel to enhance their responsibility, awareness, and vigilance concerning safety. They said that any problems were to be rectified promptly to ensure the safety and stability of the Sias campus during the winter vacation, as well as the safety of teachers' property.
