Sias University held a statistical work meeting on January 19. The meeting was held as a follow-up to the Ministry of Education's Video Conference on the Employment of 2022 National College Graduates and focused on the employment statistics of undergraduate evaluation and the employment of 2022 graduates. It was held online in a Tencent video conference.
Acting President, Zhao Yuxin, and Vice President, Zheng Min, attended the meeting along with the heads of the Academic Affairs Office, the Academic Affairs & Scientific Research Office, the Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, and the Development Planning Office. The deans of academic schools and the heads and deputy party secretaries of all residential colleges were also present. The meeting was chaired by the Director of the Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, Wang Tan.
At the meeting, the Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs & Scientific Research Office, Zhao Chengjian, presented a detailed report on the data index requirements for the rates of graduation in undergraduate evaluation. Wang Tan listed the requirements in the document "Notice on Improving the Employment Statistics and Verification of College Students" issued by the General Office of the Ministry of Education, and also spoke about the rate of the first graduates of various majors in combination with the requirements of undergraduate evaluation at Sias. His report listed the employment and entrepreneurship work carried out by his department.
Zheng Min spoke about the Ministry of Education's Video Conference on the Employment of 2022 National College Graduates. She said that the employment statistics are an important part of the employment work for graduates, and are of key significance for mastering the graduates' employment progress, as well as contributing to the government's scientific decision-making. She said that the statistics are also an indicator to measure the quality of talent training at a university, and provide an important guide to the significance of the evaluation of a university and its professional status. The statistical reporting of the rate of graduates of the class of 2022 has been arranged and deployed according to the requirements of employment statistics in annual, monthly, weekly, and daily reports.
Zhao Yuxin delivered the closing speech in which he spoke of the real rate of undergraduate evaluation and graduate destinations at Sias. He said that the Employment & Entrepreneurship Department should take the lead and consider and solve three issues concerning academic schools and residential colleges. First, the methods to improve the rate and quality of graduate destinations should be studied. Second, deep-seated problems that restrict the improvement of the graduate rate should be solved. Third, he said that he hoped that the Employment & Entrepreneurship Department would improve the statistics concerning the rate of graduation in combination with the requirements of undergraduate evaluation to ensure that the employment data of the university is accurate and positive.
