On May 24, Sias University's School of Marxism held an unveiling ceremony of a bust of Karl Marx. The Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen, Sias Party Secretary, Ma Jiansheng, Acting President, Zhao Yuxin, and Deputy Party Secretary, and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Li Huafeng, attended the ceremony. Deans of academic schools and residential colleges, and professors and teachers from the School of Marxism were also present.

Dr. Chen congratulated the School of Marxism for the completion of their project. He said that the growth and development of Marxist academic schools that taught ideological and political courses in line with the Communist Party's educational policy was a fundamental task of national education. Sias University, as a private Sino-foreign cooperative institution, had prioritized the creation of the School of Marxism that taught ideological and political courses that implement the educational policies of the Communist Party and the state. He said that the unveiling ceremony would hopefully be a launchpad for reform and innovation in ideological and political teaching and education at Sias' School of Marxism, with the goal of becoming a leading Marxist school in Henan.

Ma Jiansheng pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Communist Party of China's Central Committee had attached great importance to the creation of Marxist colleges and ideological and political theory courses. The Sias University Communist Party Committee and university leadership had held many meetings to deal with issues related to the creation of a Marxist academic school that taught ideological and political theory courses in combination with in-depth research. He said that he hoped that the School of Marxism would promote the reform and innovation of ideological and political teaching, and strive to be a unique first-class Marxist school in Henan.

The Dean of the School of Marxism, Guo Xuede, spoke about the design and concept of the project, and gave a detailed introduction to the reasons for the project and the subject.

After the unveiling ceremony, university leaders and academic leaders took a group photograph to commemorate the event.
