On the morning of November 29, Serge Demers, Vice President of Laurentian University, Canada, and his delegation visited Sias University. Yuan Guanglin, Vice President, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Sias University, received the delegation. Representatives of Sias Office of International Affairs and related personnel accompanied the participants.

Serge Demers and his delegation embarked on an insightful tour of Sias University, visiting prestigious educational and teaching facilities such as the School of Foreign Languages, the French Garden, the quaint Danish Town, the Experimental Teaching Center, the Student Activity Center, the China Garden, and Sias Library. Throughout their visit, they were immersed in the rich history of Sias, which they commended highly for Sias’s vibrant international ambiance, picturesque campus scenery, and impressive array of hardware and software facilities.

Following their extensive tour of Sias University, a meeting was held on the 15th floor of Sias Library. Yuan Guanglin, Vice President, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Sias University, representing Sias, extended a heartfelt welcome to Serge Demers and his delegation, highlighting Sias successful global cooperation and international standards of education. In response, Serge Demers introduced the fundamental aspects of Laurentian University, expressing an optimistic outlook for fostering even more friendly collaborations between the two institutions in the future. During the meeting, participants from both sides engaged in profound exchanges and discussions, exploring ways to advance innovative project collaborations, facilitate short-term exchanges among teachers and students, and embark on joint research initiatives.
