Professor Lucy Lu, Provost and Vice President of Sias University, Paid In-Depth Visits to the "One-stop" Student Communities of Sias Residential Colleges

On the evening of February 16, Professor Lucy Lu, Provost and Vice President of Sias University, accompanied by representatives from the Academic Affairs Office, the Administration Office of Sias Residential Colleges, and the Logistic Service Center, embarked on a visit to the residential college communities. The objective of this visit was to gather comprehensive information on the operational status of the residential colleges, gain insights into the return of students for the new semester, and extend heartfelt well-wishes to the students.

Prof. Lu and her team visited the student communities of Siqi Residential College, Boya Residential College, Mingli Residential College, Boyi Residential College, Qixian Residential College, Huanyu Residential College, Zhiyuan Residential College, Zhixing Residential College, and Zhishen Residential College. At each location, Professor Lu and her team engaged in conversations with the students, inquiring about their vacation experiences, academic progress, and feelings about returning to school. They encouraged the students to swiftly adjust their states of mind and to fully embrace the new semester's learning and life with enthusiasm.

During her visit, Prof. Lu engaged in in-depth discussions with the party and government leaders, education instructors, and life instructors of each residential college. She sought to understand the colleges' educational planning, daily management practices, and security measures. Additionally, Prof. Lu conducted a thorough inspection of fire exits and reviewed the investigation of potential safety hazards. She emphasized that fire safety is closely linked to the stability of the school and the well-being of countless families. She urged all residential colleges to enhance fire drills, self-inspection, and rectification of hidden dangers. Furthermore, she stressed the importance of providing comprehensive services and guarantees to create a safe and comfortable living environment for the students.

This visit not only showcases the concern and affection of Sias's leadership for its students but also fosters closer ties between teachers and students. It contributes to cultivating a warm and harmonious campus atmosphere as the new semester begins. Students have expressed their commitment to maintaining a positive attitude towards learning and good living habits. They aim to continuously improve themselves, face the challenges of the new semester with a more optimistic mindset, and live up to the expectations of the school.
