March 3, 2025 Editor:Si Jiaxuan

In order to advance classroom reform and teaching innovation powered by AI technology, the Department of Information Construction and Management, along with the Academic Affairs Department, jointly organized a technical training session on "AI-assisted Teaching and Digital Human Curriculum Construction" in Sias Library on February 26. Professor Lucy Lu, Provost and Vice President of Sias University, attended the event, joined by the head of the Academic Affairs Office, teachers from the AI+ demonstration course team, and over 40 additional participants. The session was led by Li Xia, Director of Sias Department of Information Construction and Management.

At the meeting, Professor Lu emphasized the importance of systematically integrating AI into teaching, leveraging its advantages in facilitating explicit knowledge transfer. She encouraged teachers to harness the creativity of the human brain, emphasizing the cultivation of students' innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, empowering them to tackle the unknown with the known.

Subsequently, Wang Bingju from the Department of Information Construction and Management provided a detailed explanation of the application of AI assistants, the development of AI functionalities, and the utilization of prompts. He also simulated a collaborative teaching scenario between "AI assistants" and teachers. Hou Yujuan introduced the process of utilizing the Digital Human platform to develop curriculum resources, demonstrating the entire workflow of “creating a Digital Human teacher micro-course within three minutes.” During the technical exchange session, the participating teachers engaged in an in-depth discussion on topics such as AI-assisted teaching management and teaching processes.

In his concluding remarks, Wang Longtian, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, emphasized three key requirements for the participating teachers: First, they should actively engage with the AI tools and platform provided by Sias to expedite the development of AI+ model courses. Second, they should integrate AI technology into their daily teaching practices, ensuring alignment with Sias's goals of connotative and high-quality development. Third, by leveraging the training, they should strengthen the course team's capacity, thereby setting an example and elevating the overall standard of classroom teaching.

This activity is the starting point of Sias's 2025 technology empowerment training. In the next step, Sias will continue to promote deeper integration of intelligent technology with education and teaching, fostering a transformation in teaching mode with technological innovation, and build a strong digital foundation for cultivating high-quality talents adapted to the intelligent era.
