The Establishment Ceremony of Sias Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Alumni Association was Successfully Held

On March 8, the establishment ceremony of Sias Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Alumni Association and the Alumni Spring Tea Party were held in Shenzhen. More than 130 alumni and their families from Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Dongguan, Huizhou, Foshan, Hong Kong and Macao gathered together to renew their friendship and seek future development.

Dr. Shawn Chen, Founder and Chairman of Sias University, attended the event. Peng Taifeng, Founding President of Sias Beijing Alumni Association, Zhang Minghe, Executive President of Sias Shanghai Alumni Association, Yang Dayue, President of Sias Zhengzhou Alumni Association, Qin Yaojun, President of Sias Shaanxi Alumni Association, and other branch leaders attended the celebration.

In his speech, Dr. Shawn Chen, speaking on behalf of Sias and the Alumni Association, warmly congratulated the establishment of the Sias Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Alumni Association. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the alumni in Shenzhen and other regions for their enduring concern and steadfast support in the development endeavors of their alma mater. Furthermore, Dr. Chen offered insightful suggestions grounded in the profound impact of artificial intelligence on various industries. He emphasized that Sias alumni have been integral to Sias's growth journey, while Sias, in turn, has witnessed its alumni evolve from youthful beginners to seasoned professionals with thriving careers. He pointed out that numerous alumni attribute their achievements to Sias's distinctive and forward-thinking educational philosophy. Consequently, Sias should prioritize extending its support and care to alumni, encompassing not just their time on campus but also their professional lives post-graduation, ensuring that a strong emotional bond with their alma mater remains ever-present.

During the Q&A session, Dr. Chen, drawing from his early personal experiences, recounted his dedication to education and the establishment of Sias. He elaborated on the historical background of Sias's education and the profound meaning behind its unique educational philosophy. Furthermore, he expounded on how the school fosters an environment that maximizes students' sense of experience and involvement in shaping the campus culture. This not only served as an engaging lesson on the school's history for the alumni present but also transported everyone back to their cherished days on campus.

Subsequently, Dr. Chen, together with Yuan Ronghai, who was elected as the President of the Sias Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Alumni Association, a Grade 03 alumnus, and concurrently serving as the President of Potensic Co., Ltd., jointly performed the unveiling ceremony for the establishment of Sias Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Alumni Association.

In his speech, Yuan Ronghai expressed his gratitude for the education of the alma mater, warmly welcomed the alumni from all over the world, and said that the Greater Bay Area Alumni Association will continue to unite alumni from all over the world to make common progress and contribute to the construction of the alma mater.

Wei Jiabo, a Grade 00 alumni, Founder of the CYBE Business School and senior cross-border e-commerce practitioner, shared his insights on a specific theme. Drawing from his self-published book titled Amazon Cross-border E-commerce Operation Handbook, he narrated his professional journey and the challenges he faced along the way. His sharing served as a valuable source of experience and knowledge for the attendees, offering practical insights and strategies for navigating the world of cross-border e-commerce.

The Presidents of the Sias Beijing Alumni Association, Shanghai Alumni Association, and Shaanxi Alumni Association took the stage in succession to present congratulatory gifts and deliver speeches filled with best wishes. Shang Luying, President of the Sias North America Alumni Association, conveyed her congratulations through a video message, embodying the essence of cross-regional collaboration and the aspiration to construct a global cooperation platform.

At the roundtable forum, Du Yusheng, Grade 02 alumni, partner of Purple News Technology and other alumni from different industries discussed AI applications and other topics with Dr. Chen. On the occasion of International Women's Day, two female alumni also shared their perspectives on how to balance career and family. Li Pingping, Grade 99 alumni, Vice President of (Hong Kong) Zhongtai International Securities and Futures Co., Ltd., along with other alumni, shared their experiences in business management on stage.

The event featured an alumni talent show and lucky draw among other segments, repeatedly pushing the atmosphere to a climax. The alumni in attendance remarked that the activities organized by the Alumni Association not only deepened the emotional bonds between alumni and their alma mater but also provided access to cutting-edge industry information and cooperation opportunities.

The establishment of Sias Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Alumni Association is rooted in the context of national strategy, focusing on resource reconstruction and functional upgrading. By integrating the existing alumni associations in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and Macao, it connects local alumni resources to create a comprehensive alumni network spanning the entire Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This network facilitates cross-city and cross-industry cooperation, fostering the deep integration of alumni personal growth, the enhancement of the school's brand influence, and the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area. As such, the association serves as a crucial link between Sias, alumni, and the cities within the region.
