Delegation of Dominican University of California Visited Sias

From March 10 to 11, a delegation led by Yung-Jae Lee, Dean of the Barowsky School of Business at Dominican University of California, visited Sias for exchange and collaboration. Yuan Guanglin, Vice President, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Sias University, received the delegation, accompanied by representatives from the School of Management and the Office of International Affairs, as well as relevant personnel.

Yuan Guanglin, on behalf of Sias, extended sincere welcome to the delegation and introduced our university's educational characteristics and internationalization efforts. Yung-Jae Lee, in response, provided an overview of Dominican University of California and articulated his aspirations for fostering deeper and more amicable cooperation between the two institutions in the future.

The delegates from both institutions delved into in-depth discussions on strategies to further propel the 1+1 joint master's degree program, facilitate short-term exchanges for faculty and students, and embark on collaborative research projects, ultimately reaching a multitude of consensuses. During the gathering, Yuan Guanglin bestowed upon Yung-Jae Lee a certificate of appointment, naming him a visiting professor and advisor to the School of Management. This moment marked a pivotal advancement in the cooperative endeavors between the two universities, heralding a fresh phase in their academic and research collaborations.

Subsequently, the School of Management and Dominican University of California jointly held an academic seminar, focusing on the curriculum design and training program of the 1+1 joint master's degree program in accounting. The seminar delved into topics such as comparisons between Chinese and American accounting standards, the impact of artificial intelligence on the accounting industry, and the employment environment for international accounting students, laying a solid foundation for cooperation between the two parties in related fields.

During their visit, Dr. Shawn Chen, Founder and Chairman of Sias University, warmly greeted the delegation and articulated his sincere aspiration for fostering even stronger ties of cooperation between the two universities. The delegation, in turn, engaged in cordial and enlightening exchanges with students from the School of Management, where they shared their extensive international learning experiences and imparted invaluable advice on career development. These interactions provided Sias students with a unique chance to broaden their global perspectives, exposing them to diverse educational insights and career paths.
