On March 14, Dr. Shawn Chen, Founder and Chairman of Sias University, led a delegation to Capital Medical University for an in-depth exchange on topics including industry-teaching integration, collaborative education, and the fusion of medical education with AI technology. Ma Ning, Director of the Achievement Transformation Department at Capital Medical University, Wang Yuji, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, and team representatives from the ZGC·Bio Bank attended the meeting. Representatives from Sias Project Development Center and School of Medicine accompanied the participants.

During the visit, Wang Yuji and Ma Ning from Capital Medical University introduced CMU's practices and experiences in integrating industry and education, as well as in transforming scientific research results. They expressed their expectations for R&D cooperation with Sias in the field of great health. Dr. Chen shared Sias's experience in constructing the Digital Technology School, emphasizing the application of "dual tutorship" and "real projects in the classroom" modes to cultivate applied talents with both practical abilities and innovative thinking. Capital Medical University highly recognized Sias's industry-education integration model and proposed the possibility of exploring similar paths in the medical field.

At the meeting, the two sides also focused on the joint construction of a medical artificial intelligence laboratory, aiming to integrate AI technology into the whole process of medical education and promote two-way empowerment of clinical teaching and scientific research innovation.

Dr. Chen emphasized that the integration of industry and education is crucial for addressing the structural contradiction between the supply and demand of talents. He expressed Sias's willingness to collaborate with Capital Medical University to explore cross-regional and cross-disciplinary synergistic innovation mechanisms, aiming to contribute more excellent talents to the “Healthy China” strategy. Both universities plan to leverage their respective clinical resources and scientific research advantages to establish a "Joint Laboratory of Medical Artificial Intelligence." This collaboration will foster in-depth cooperation, including cross-campus practical training for students and mutual recruitment of teachers.

This exchange marks a new step in the integration of production and education in the field of medical education. As a model undergraduate university of applied technology in Henan Province, Sias will continue to take the innovative practice teaching system as the core, deepen the university-enterprise collaboration and cross-campus linkage, and inject new kinetic energy into the modernization of education and industrial upgrading.
