Delegation of Zhengzhou University Central Plains Cultural Education Project Visited Sias for In-Depth Research and Exchange

On the morning of March 14, Professor Zhang Qianhong and her team from ZZU Central Plains Cultural Education Project visited Sias for an in-depth research and exchange session. The theme of the visit was "Relying on Excellent Chinese Traditional Culture to Promote International Schooling and Talent Cultivation," aiming to strengthen cooperation and exchange between the two universities in the fields of traditional culture research and international education. Ma Jiansheng, Secretary of CPC Sias Committee, and Wu Hua, Deputy Secretary of CPC Sias Committee, Executive Vice President, Chairman of the Labor Union, accompanied the delegation and actively participated in the discussions.

Prof. Zhang and her team embarked on a detailed tour of various Sias landmarks, including the European Street, the Student Activity Center, Mingli Residential College, Qixian Residential College, the School of Foreign Languages, Sias Library, and numerous other educational facilities and student living communities. This immersive on-site visit allowed the project team to gain a thorough comprehension of Sias's initiatives and remarkable achievements in campus development, its distinctive international education characteristics, the holistic residential college system of management, and its commitment to preserving and innovating traditional culture. Sias’s international educational philosophy and vibrant campus culture were met with high praise and admiration from Prof. Zhang and her team.

During the symposium, Wu Hua offered a comprehensive overview of Sias's rich history, distinctive school-running characteristics, and its exploration and implementation of international education alongside the preservation of traditional culture. Wu Hua underscored Sias's unwavering commitment to the motto "East meets West, Integrating Knowledge with Practice," highlighting its dedication to nurturing talents equipped with a global perspective, a profound humanistic spirit, a strong sense of social responsibility, and an innovative mindset. Zhang Qianhong complemented Wu's presentation by emphasizing Sias's unique "cultured and refined" atmosphere, where every aspect of Sias's environment showcases a profound understanding of education and meticulous design. Zhang highlighted Sias's accumulated expertise in international education and traditional culture inheritance, underlining its student-centered approach and distinctive campus culture. From design to management, every aspect of Sias exemplifies its comprehensive care and cultivation of students. Furthermore, Zhang expressed her hope for future collaboration between the two institutions, anticipating more fruitful outcomes in the realms of talent development and scientific research cooperation. The symposium was hosted by Ma Jiansheng, who facilitated a smooth and engaging discussion.

Afterwards, the two sides held a book donation ceremony, in which the team of ZZU Central Plains Cultural Education Project team donated a batch of precious books to Sias to support our academic research and book resources construction.

The visit of Zhengzhou University Central Plains Cultural Education Project delegation not only deepened the friendship between the two schools, but also laid a solid foundation for cooperation in traditional culture research and international education. In the future, ZZU and Sias will continue to work hand in hand to contribute to the cultivation of a new generation of capable young people with sound moral grounding, intellectual ability, physical vigor, aesthetic sensibility, and work skills who will fully develop socialism and carry forward the socialist cause.
