On April 26, DTS (Digital Technology School of Sias University) hosted its inaugural Industry-Education Integration Activity Week concurrently with the First Council of CANGE’s (China Association for Non-Government Education) Construction Professional Committee on its campus. The event drew a distinguished gathering of educational leaders, industry executives, and faculty-student delegates to commemorate this milestone in advancing cross-sector collaboration. Attendees included key stakeholders from both academia and the business community, all convening to witness and engage with this pivotal initiative in fostering industry-education synergy.
The event kicked off with the beautiful singing of DTS Quanquan Choir.
Dr. Shawn Chen, President of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), President of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), and Founder and Chairman of Sias University, delivered a speech. He underscored the strategic imperative of industry-education integration and expressed optimism for Sias’s future trajectory in this domain. Notable attendees, including Cao Keshun, Second-Grade Inspector of Education Department of Henan Province, and Liu Lin, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and President of CANGE, also addressed the assembly. Both speakers affirmed their endorsement of the industry-education convergence model and reiterated their commitment to advancing educational innovation through collaborative frameworks.
Dr. Huang Ying, Director and Chief Human Resource Officer of iSoftStone, President of the Major Customers Business Group, and Chairman of iSoftStone Education, outlined in his address that the event will pioneer a new paradigm for industry-education integration through collaborative initiatives with Sias faculty and students. These include mentorship programs, industry-academia seminars on professional development, and curricular innovation workshops. He emphasized the shared vision of co-creating a hub for digital talent development and injecting robust momentum into the region’s high-quality economic growth through strategic partnerships.
The event reached its zenith with a series of ceremonial unveilings, including the launch of the iSoftStone Cadre Development Institute, the iSoftStone Talent Cultivation Base, the Huawei ICT School, and the iSoftStone China Henan Representative Office. These initiatives collectively represent a pivotal milestone in advancing the "school-enterprise alliance and talent co-cultivation" model, establishing a robust platform for digital talent development across the Central Plains region. By aligning academic expertise with industry resources, this collaborative framework aims to elevate regional innovation capacity and nurture a skilled workforce tailored to the demands of the digital economy.
Subsequently, the release of a series of iSoftStone new products and innovation platforms became another highlight of the event. The demonstration of achievements such as composite robot, embodied intelligence co-innovation center, Honmont school-enterprise co-innovation center solution, HonDevOps project management platform, and internship core job skills mapping and assessment system fully embodied iSoftStone's strong strength and innovation ability in the field of digital technology application, injecting new vitality into the school-enterprise co-innovation.
The launching ceremony of the Professional Committee of Information Technology Modern Industrial College Construction of China Private Education Association was even more significant. The joint participation of many guests signaled that the integration of industry and education had entered a new stage of greater focus and synergy, injecting strong kinetic energy into the deep linkage between digital education and the information and innovation industry.
During the Mentorship Awarding Session, 15 student representatives and 15 iSoftStone executive mentors were honored on stage, celebrating both individual achievements and the success of the "Enterprise-Led Problem Definition, Academic Problem-Solving, Student-Driven Innovation" collaborative model. The 2024 iSoftStone Mentorship Appointment Ceremony followed, during which 41 mentors and technical experts were formally inducted to sustain student development.
During the Discipline Competition Awarding Session, national, provincial, and campus-level award-winning student representatives took the stage in succession to receive accolades. Their outstanding achievements in high-stakes competitions epitomize the DTS ethos of "Daring to Break Through, Striving for Excellence" and underscore DTS’s proven strategy of "Competition-Driven Pedagogy"—leveraging inter-collegiate challenges to accelerate academic rigor, skill mastery, and pedagogical innovation.
At the inaugural "Accelerated Graduates" Graduation Ceremony, 12 students completed their undergraduate requirements one year ahead of schedule under the Full Credit System model, achieving a four-year curriculum in just three years. This milestone exemplifies DTS’s "Self-Driven Growth, Flexibility & Efficiency" talent cultivation framework—a model that empowers students to accelerate learning through personalized pathways, adaptive curricula, and mentorship-driven agility.
The success of this event not only demonstrated the outstanding achievements of the college in the field of industry-education integration, but also explored a new path for the deep integration of digital technology industry and education.
