On April 1, the School of Journalism and Communication, in collaboration with Zhengzhou Aiqipa Digital Printing Co., Ltd., hosted the “Qipa Creations” Internship Exhibition for the 2023 cohort of Fashion Communication students, along with the award ceremony for the first “Aiqipa Cup” Cultural and Creative Design Competition.
The event featured four main segments: an internship exhibition, a fashion show of student works, a course project showcase, and the award ceremony. Together, these activities comprehensively highlighted the achievements of collaborative education between the university and industry partners.

At the campus market exhibition area in Piazza Italia, the internship of the 2023 cohort of Fashion Communication students were showcased, highlighting their work in cultural and creative design as well as visual planning. A pop-up runway show featuring digitally printed garments designed by students was also held on site, demonstrating their practical skills and creative design capabilities.
At the Experimental Teaching Center, guests were invited to view the final project exhibition of the 2024 cohort of Fashion Communication students. As the program’s first static end-of-course exhibition, it presented a complete process—from garment craftsmanship to visual communication—based on course outcomes, fully reflecting the students’ academic achievements and professional development.

The award ceremony was held in Conference Room 306 of Teaching Building No. 4. Zhao Shuai, General Manager of Zhengzhou Aiqipa Digital Printing Co., Ltd., Gao Ruifang, Deputy General Manager, and Zhao Yuxin, Vice President of the university, attended the ceremony. Representatives from the Academic Affairs Office, the School of Journalism and Communication, faculty members, students, and industry partners were also present.
In his remarks, Zhao Yuxin emphasized that the integration of industry and education is a key direction for the university’s high-quality development and talent cultivation reform. He noted that the university will continue to deepen cooperation with leading enterprises, promote the close alignment between education and industry needs, and support students in becoming highly skilled, application-oriented professionals who meet evolving market demands.
Jia Shiqiu, Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication, introduced the college’s strategic focus on industry-education integration. She stated that the school will further strengthen partnerships with enterprises, continuously explore new models of collaborative education, and strive to build a leading demonstration program in the field of journalism and communication within the province.
On behalf of the partner company, Gao Ruifang expressed their commitment to providing comprehensive support for students, from practical learning to the transformation of creative, aiming to achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages, and mutually beneficial cooperation between the university and industry.
Following a joint professional evaluation by both the university and enterprise, the competition awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze prizes. Distinguished guests presented awards to the winning students, highly recognizing their creativity and practical achievements.
The organization of this internship exhibition and cultural and creative design competition award ceremony represents an important initiative by the School of Journalism and Communication to advance the integration of industry and education and to strengthen practice-oriented teaching. The event effectively enhanced students’ comprehensive professional competencies and their ability to apply knowledge in real-world contexts.
