From April 7 to 8 (local time), the 2026 Eurasian Higher Education Summit (EURIE 2026) was held in Istanbul, Türkiye. Chen Xiaochun, Founder and Chairman of the University and President of the World Association of University Presidents, was invited to attend the summit. He delivered remarks at the opening ceremony and presented a keynote speech at a thematic session of the International Association of Universities, sharing experiences in international collaboration and the University’s achievements in global engagement.

This year’s summit focused on key topics including higher education innovation across Eurasia, international cooperation, student mobility, and sustainable development. It brought together more than 2,000 higher education leaders, scholars, university presidents, and institutional representatives from nearly 100 countries. In his opening remarks, Chen Xiaochun emphasized that the internationalization of higher education is a key pathway to addressing global challenges and cultivating talent for the future. He highlighted the important role of international organizations in building cooperation platforms, promoting mutual recognition of standards, and facilitating resource sharing.

Following the summit, from April 9 to 10, Shawn Chen  and his delegation visited Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, where they held talks with Davit Gyurjinyan, President of Brusov State University. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on faculty and student exchange, academic cooperation, credit recognition, joint research, and joint training programs. Multiple agreements were reached, and a strategic inter-university cooperation agreement was signed, marking the establishment of a long-term partnership between the two institutions.

This visit to Eurasia represents an important step in the University's internationalization strategy. It not only showcased the strength and global vision of Chinese private higher education on a high-level international platform, but also further expanded the University’s education cooperation network across Eurasia and enriched channels for international exchange among faculty and students.

Looking ahead, the University will continue to advance high-level international engagement, accelerate the development of a global cooperation network, and inject new momentum into cultivating high-quality, application-oriented talent with global competitiveness
