Sias University Hosts Symposium on Joint Master’s Training with Northwest Normal University

To further advance the joint training of master’s students and implement prior cooperation agreements, on the morning of March 11, the School of Physical Education at Sias University held a symposium with the School of Physical Education at Northwest Normal University. Hao Ying, Associate Dean of the School of Physical Education at Northwest Normal University, and Yuan Guanglin, Vice President of Sias University, attended the meeting.

Ma Ruihua, Dean of the School of Physical Education at Sias University, welcomed the visiting delegation and აღნიშნა that the symposium marked an important step in deepening collaboration between the two institutions. He expressed hope that the exchange would enhance the quality and effectiveness of joint training programs. Gao Sheng, Deputy Director of the Research Office, introduced the university’s support policies for joint postgraduate training, the structure of discipline development, and the progress made in developing master’s degree authorization programs.

Hao Ying presented the academic strengths, faculty resources, and distinctive talent cultivation model of Northwest Normal University’s School of Physical Education. She spoke highly of the educational environment and conditions at Sias University, noting the strong complementarity between the two institutions and the broad prospects for future cooperation.

Yuan Guanglin reviewed Sias University’s experience in jointly training master’s students and elaborated on its distinctive education system, including the full credit system, the residential college model, and the dual-supervisor system. He proposed further strengthening cooperation through increased academic and financial support, and expressed expectations for expanded collaboration in research projects, joint studies, faculty development, and resource sharing, with the aim of contributing to the advancement of sports disciplines and the cultivation of high-level talent. 

During the meeting, the two sides also held a plaque-awarding ceremony for the joint training base and engaged in in-depth discussions on curriculum design, thesis topic selection, and internship arrangements.

The symposium marks a new phase of deeper and broader collaboration between the two universities, injecting fresh momentum into the development of master’s programs and the advancement of sports disciplines at Sias University. It also holds practical significance for innovating postgraduate training models and cultivating high-level professionals in the field of physical education.
