Delegation from Catholic Kwandong University, South Korea Visits Sias University for Exchange

On the morning of March 31, a delegation led by President Jun-Gui Choi from Catholic Kwandong University, South Korea, visited Sias University for an exchange. Dr. Shawn Chen, Founder and Chairman of the Board, received the delegation. Representatives from the Office of International Affairs and the School of Medicine accompanied the visit.

During their visit, the delegation toured several key campus facilities, including the Student Activity Center, the Chinese University Basketball Association (CUBA) training base, the French Garden, and the School of International Education. They spoke highly of the university’s beautiful campus environment and its distinctive international education model.

Following the tour, both sides held a meeting in the conference room on the 15th floor of the library, where they engaged in discussions on areas such as international cooperative education and collaboration in artificial intelligence, exploring potential directions for future partnership.

Dr. Shawn Chen introduced the university’s internationalization strategy and the development of its “AI+X” interdisciplinary education model. He expressed hope that the two institutions would carry out practical cooperation in areas including joint programs, faculty and student exchanges, academic research, and collaborative talent cultivation, achieving resource sharing and mutual benefit.

President Jun-Gui Choi presented an overview of Catholic Kwandong University’s特色 and global cooperation initiatives. He noted that this visit provides a valuable opportunity to advance concrete collaborative projects between the two universities, particularly in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence.

This exchange further strengthened mutual understanding and friendship between the two institutions, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. Both sides expressed their commitment to accelerating the implementation of collaborative initiatives and creating more opportunities for academic exchange and development for faculty and students.
