On May 12, the 115th International Nurses Day, Vice President and Chairman of the University Labor Union Yuan Guanglin led a team to the university clinic to visit and express appreciation to all medical staff working on the campus front line. He extended sincere holiday greetings and heartfelt respect, and expressed deep gratitude to all healthcare workers for their long-term dedication to safeguarding the health of teachers and students.

Over the years, the medical staff at the university clinic have upheld a strong sense of responsibility and compassion. They have remained at the forefront of campus healthcare services, taking on key responsibilities such as daily medical treatment, health education, emergency first aid, prevention and treatment of common illnesses among students and staff, and campus public health management. With professional expertise, a rigorous work ethic, and warm service, they have built a solid healthcare safeguard for the entire campus community, ensuring health, safety, and stability. Their dedication fully embodies the contemporary spirit of Florence Nightingale.

During the visit, Vice President Yuan Guanglin had a warm conversation with the medical staff at the university clinic. He learned in detail about daily outpatient services, health support for teachers and students, routine medical care, and shift arrangements. He also asked about their working conditions and highly praised their dedication, professionalism, and strong sense of responsibility in staying true to their duties.

Yuan Guanglin noted that medical work is ordinary in form but great in impact, and nursing is both demanding and honorable. The university has always placed great importance on campus healthcare development and cares deeply about the wellbeing and growth of all medical staff. He encouraged everyone to take International Nurses’ Day as an opportunity to further promote the spirit of caring for life, saving lives, dedication, and compassion. He also hoped they would continue to improve their professional skills and service capacity, providing high-quality healthcare support for teachers and students, and contributing to the university’s high-quality development.

All medical staff expressed their sincere gratitude for the university’s care and support. They said they would turn this warmth and encouragement into strong motivation for their work, remain committed to their duties, continuously improve their professional skills and service quality, and dedicate themselves to campus healthcare services with greater enthusiasm and a more practical working style. They will do their best to safeguard the physical and mental health of all teachers and students across the university.
