With youthful voices and dreams for the future, the final of the 2026 “Voice of the Future” Competition was held on the afternoon of May 12 at the university opera house teaching theater. Centered on the theme “Youthful Voices Inspire Learning Excellence,” the competition provided students with a platform to showcase their language and communication skills while bringing new energy to the university’s academic atmosphere and cultural education initiatives.

University leaders, representatives from the Youth League Committee, the library, and various residential colleges attended the event together with more than 1,100 student audience members.

In his speech, a university leader noted that the competition was not only a stage for students to display their talents and improve their communication abilities, but also an important platform for promoting academic culture and cultivating talented young people for the new era. He highly praised the campus radio station for its positive role in campus cultural development and encouraged the contestants to present their youthful spirit with confidence, use their voices to share ideals and beliefs, and turn their passion on stage into continuous motivation in their academic journey.

The final competition consisted of two parts: a semi-structured speech session and a language performance showcase. During the speech session, contestants focused closely on the competition theme and shared personal stories and reflections with sincerity. Their speeches were well-organized, thoughtful, and inspiring, demonstrating the critical thinking skills and sense of responsibility of SIAS students.

In the performance showcase, contestants presented creative programs such as dramatic recitations and short stage performances. With confident stage presence and strong expressive skills, they vividly demonstrated the charm of language arts and received high praise from both the judges and the audience. Interactive lucky draw activities were also held throughout the event, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.

after a comprehensive evaluation by the panel of professional judges, multiple awards were presented during the competition. University leaders and guests presented awards to the winners and encouraged them to stay passionate, continue improving their skills, and keep challenging themselves in the field of language arts.

This competition enriched campus cultural life and fostered a positive academic atmosphere that encourages diligence, critical thinking, and continuous growth. It also further improved students’ language expression skills and overall qualities.
