School of Journalism and Communication Launches 2026 Photography Graduation Exhibition

On the afternoon of May 12, the 2026 Photography Graduation Exhibition of the School of Journalism and Communication officially opened at the East Exhibition Hall on the first floor of Building T12.

Dr. Shawn Chen, Founder and Chairman of SIAS University, and Executive Vice President Wu Hua visited the exhibition and offered guidance. Pang Dongchen, member of the China Photographers Association and Director of the Exhibition Department of the Henan Cultural Center, Vice President Zhao Yuxin, as well as representatives from the Party and Administration Office, Academic Affairs Department, Publicity Department of the CPC Committee, the School of Journalism and Communication, and Zhiyuan Residential College attended the opening ceremony.

Pang Dongchen highly praised the quality of the exhibition and the youthful creativity reflected in the works, noting that the exhibition showcased the new generation of young photographers in Henan Province. He encouraged students to remain committed to artistic ideals and humanistic values, continuously improve their professional skills, and create outstanding works that combine artistic beauty with social significance. He also invited teachers and students to participate in provincial public cultural exchange and exhibition activities.

After the opening ceremony, Dr. Shawn Chen, Wu Hua, and other guests visited the exhibition hall for guidance and attended the on-site presentation session of the 2026 photography graduates’ exhibition design projects. The students enthusiastically introduced their creative concepts, shooting ideas, artistic expression, and the meaning behind their works, fully demonstrating the spirit and creativity of SIAS students.

This exhibition is a comprehensive showcase of the Photography Department’s achievements in talent cultivation over the past four years. It also serves as a collective presentation of students using light and images to celebrate youth and communicate with the时代 through photography.

The exhibition is open to all teachers, students, and members of the public, and will continue through June 30.
