In order to gain a comprehensive understanding of teaching operations during the current semester, strengthen teaching process management, enhance communication between teachers and students, and further improve teaching quality, SIAS held the Mid-Semester Student and Faculty Representative Symposium for the second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year on the afternoon of May 13 in the banquet hall on the first floor of the Administration Building.

Vice Presidents Zhao Yuxin and Yuan Guanglin attended the symposium together with faculty representatives from 13 schools and departments, student representatives from different grade levels, and leaders from relevant administrative departments including the Academic Affairs Department, Research Office, Human Resources Office, Student Affairs Office, Library, Logistics Service Center, and Information Technology and Management Office.

During the meeting, student representatives spoke openly about course scheduling, laboratory and training conditions, academic atmosphere, and the campus environment, while also offering specific suggestions regarding teaching management and campus support services.

Faculty representatives engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics including classroom teaching management, AI-powered teaching applications, support for examinations and competitions, improvement of research mechanisms, the development of teaching and learning culture, and interdisciplinary collaborative education. They also shared a number of suggestions and practical recommendations.

Representatives from the university’s administrative departments carefully listened to and recorded the suggestions and concerns raised by teachers and students. They responded to questions on site and clarified follow-up improvement measures. Issues requiring coordination among multiple departments will be forwarded to the relevant offices for continued follow-up and resolution.

The symposium further strengthened mutual understanding and gathered momentum for the university’s future development. Moving forward, the university will continue to improve its regular communication mechanisms, optimize the educational environment, strengthen the foundation of university operations, and promote the high-quality development of education and teaching at SIAS.
