On the morning of May 25, SIAS University officially launched its 2026 International Summer Camp at the Student Activity Center. Young participants from more than 20 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, gathered at SIAS to embark on a journey of cross-cultural exchange, learning, and personal growth.

Dr. shawn chen , Founder and Chairman of the Board of SIAS University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered welcoming remarks.

Dr.  Shawn Chen extended a warm welcome to all participants from around the world. He noted that since its founding in 1998, SIAS University has remained committed to its international education mission, fostering a multicultural learning environment and providing high-quality platforms for young people from different countries to engage in dialogue, mutual learning, and cultural exchange.

He encouraged all campers to make the most of this valuable opportunity by broadening their horizons, building lasting friendships, and enhancing their overall competencies through cross-cultural interaction. He also sincerely invited them to return to SIAS in the future as exchange students or international students to continue their academic journeys and create new chapters in their personal and educational growth.

The one-week summer camp features a diverse and engaging program of activities, including courses on traditional Chinese culture, roundtable forums for Chinese and international youth, campus visit experiences, and an International Student Art and Design Exhibition. Through a combination of academic learning and hands-on cultural experiences, the program is designed to help participants gain a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture while enhancing their intercultural understanding and global competence.
