On the morning of May 31, the 2026 Commencement Ceremony of our university was held at the Comprehensive Gymnasium. Dr. Chen Xiaochun, along with all university leaders, heads of various departments, faculty representatives, the 2026 graduating class, and representatives of parents and family members, gathered together to witness this defining moment of youth and achievement.

The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Zhao Yuxin.

Dr. Chen Xiaochun extended warm congratulations to all graduates who had successfully completed their studies. He also expressed sincere gratitude to the faculty and staff for their dedicated teaching, to parents for their quiet and steadfast support, and to all members of society who had contributed to the students growth.

Reflecting on the development trends of the artificial intelligence era, he addressed the graduates with a heartfelt message. He noted that those who will remain truly irreplaceable in the future must possess sound judgment, strong learning ability, and creativity, while also embodying a warm character and a firm sense of responsibility.

He encouraged students not to fear change, but to learn how to evolve; to become individuals of value, to walk their own path, and to move forward with courage and determination in a vast and open world. He added that Sias will always remain their warmest harbor and strongest support.

He offered four key expectations for graduates: to build strong professional foundations, uphold innovative thinking, strengthen resilience under pressure, and maintain a strong sense of responsibility. He encouraged students to integrate their personal aspirations into national development, stay grounded and pragmatic, and move steadily toward long-term goals, allowing their youth to shine through dedicated effort and contribution.

Faculty representative Du Chen delivered a message to all graduates, wishing them to always retain youthful spirit, cultivate scholarly refinement, and develop a righteous and upright character.

He encouraged them to carry forward the university’s motto—“Integrating Chinese and Western Cultures, Unifying Knowledge and Practice”—to pursue life with passion and purpose. He expressed his hopes that they would journey toward new horizons with confidence and determination, move steadily forward on their new life path, and embrace a bright and promising future
