At the morning introductory meeting, Cai Hong emphasized that the quality of bachelor’s degree conferral represents the “final checkpoint” of talent cultivation. He noted that this evaluation is an important requirement for implementing the Degree Law of the People’s Republic of China and standardizing university operations. It is also a key opportunity for the university to strengthen its quality foundation. He encouraged the university to actively cooperate with the evaluation, accurately identify weaknesses, and achieve the goals of promoting improvement and reform through assessment.

Following this, Bai Meng, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, reported on the university’s self-evaluation of bachelor’s degree conferral work and newly established undergraduate programs, focusing on foundational conditions, institutional development, preparation of new programs, and continuous improvement measures.

After the report, the expert panel conducted on-site inspections and document reviews in groups. They visited the Office of Information Technology, the Experimental Teaching Center, and the Engineering Training Center to verify teaching conditions and management processes. They also carefully reviewed academic archives, including degree conferral regulations, talent training programs, and graduation theses.

In the afternoon, the experts held in-depth interviews and thematic discussions in different groups. They also organized multiple sessions with teaching management staff and graduation thesis supervisors from various schools and departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of frontline teaching management and degree conferral practices.
At the feedback session, the panel leader delivered an overall evaluation, fully acknowledging the university’s achievements in degree conferral quality assurance. At the same time, the experts objectively pointed out existing weaknesses and provided targeted recommendations for improvement.

Finally, Vice President Zhao Yuxin delivered a concluding statement on behalf of the university, expressing sincere acceptance of the feedback. He stated that the university will immediately implement rectification measures, analyze root causes item by item, set clear deadlines, and ensure all improvements are effectively carried out. He added that the university will take this evaluation as an opportunity to continuously improve its quality assurance system and comprehensively enhance talent cultivation quality.
