On the afternoon of July 1, a five-member expert team led by Liu Yujia, Director of the Science, Technology and Information Division of the Henan Provincial Department of Education, visited Sias University to conduct a mid-term evaluation of the university’s “Artificial Intelligence + Education” Leading Initiative Project. Dr. Shawn Chen, Founder and Chairman of Sias University, Vice President Zhao Yuxin, and relevant department heads attended the meeting.

On behalf of the university, Dr. Shawn Chen welcomed and expressed appreciation to the expert team. He introduced the university’s overall strategy and phased achievements in actively embracing artificial intelligence and systematically advancing digital transformation in education. He stated that Sias University will take this evaluation as an opportunity to further deepen the integration of artificial intelligence into education and teaching, talent cultivation, management, and service systems.

During the presentation meeting, Li Xia, Consultant of the Office of Information Technology Development and Management, delivered a detailed report on the project’s progress, major achievements, existing challenges, and future plans. She highlighted the university’s exploration and practices in applying artificial intelligence to classroom teaching, institutional governance, service improvement, and innovative talent development.

The expert team fully recognized the achievements made during the project’s implementation. They noted that the university demonstrates strong commitment, effective implementation mechanisms, and diverse application scenarios. The experts emphasized that private universities have advantages such as shorter decision-making processes, faster resource integration, and greater flexibility in responding to reforms. They also provided guidance on areas including goal orientation, content optimization, and the refinement of distinctive achievements.

the expert team also listened to a report on the university’s preparation of the “15th Five-Year Plan” Information Development Strategy. They highly evaluated the plan’s objectives, overall framework, and implementation approach, while providing targeted recommendations.

Liu Yujia pointed out that the “Artificial Intelligence + Education” Leading Initiative Project is an important component of the Henan Provincial Department of Education’s three-year action plan for advancing “Artificial Intelligence + Education.” He emphasized that the university should further enhance strategic planning, strengthen internal collaboration, focus on key application scenarios, develop distinctive achievements, and promote the replication and wider application of successful experiences. He encouraged Sias University to build a demonstrative, referenceable, and promotable model that can play a leading role among universities across Henan Province.

Vice President Zhao Yuxin delivered a statement on behalf of the university, expressing that Sias University will carefully consider the expert team’s suggestions, focus on the project’s core objectives, refine implementation tasks, strengthen responsibilities, and ensure the high-quality completion of the remaining project work.
